Expanded perlite is a kind of white granular material with honeycomb structure inside which is made of perlite ore after preheating and instant high temperature roasting and expanding. The principle is: perlite ore is crushed to form ore sand of a certain particle size, which is preheated and roasted and heated rapidly (above 1000 ℃). The water in the ore is vaporized and expands inside the softened vitreous ore to form a non-metallic mineral product with a porous structure and a volume expansion of 10-30 times. Perlite is divided into three forms according to its expansion technology and use: open pores, closed pores, and hollow pores.

Scope of application

8- A larger amount is used for thermal insulation of industrial kilns and building roofs and walls.
