Expanded perlite is a kind of white granular material with honeycomb structure inside which is made of perlite ore after preheating and instant high temperature roasting and expanding. The principle is: perlite ore is crushed to form ore sand of a certain particle size, which is preheated and roasted and heated rapidly (above 1000 ℃). The water in the ore is vaporized and expands inside the softened vitreous ore to form a non-metallic mineral product with a porous structure and a volume expansion of 10-30 times. Perlite is divided into three forms according to its expansion technology and use: open pores, closed pores, and hollow pores.

Scope of application
Expanded perlite is an inorganic mineral material with a wide range of uses. According to its expansion technology and uses, it is divided into three forms: open pores, closed pores, and hollow pores. The products involve almost all fields. For example:
1-Oxygen generator, cold storage, liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen transportation as filling thermal insulation material.
2- Used for filtration of alcohol, oil, medicine, food, sewage and other products.
3- For rubber, paints, coatings, plastics, etc. fillers and expanders.
4- For sensitizers.
5- Used to absorb oil slicks.
6-Used in agriculture, gardening, soil improvement, water and fertilizer conservation, soilless cultivation, soil improvement, pesticide slowing agent, etc.
7- It is used to cooperate with various adhesives to make profiles of various specifications and properties.
8- A larger amount is used for thermal insulation of industrial kilns and building roofs and walls. Construction field: thermal insulation, fire retardant coatings, sound-absorbing panels and other pipeline thermal insulation, cold and thermal insulation, filter materials, slag collection materials in the steelmaking process, rubber and plastic filling materials, etc.
