Expanded perlite is a kind of white granular material with honeycomb structure inside which is made of perlite ore after preheating and instant high temperature roasting and expanding. The water in the ore is vaporized and expands inside the softened vitreous ore to form a non-metallic mineral product with a porous structure and a volume expansion of 10-30 times. 8- A larger amount is used for thermal insulation of industrial kilns and building roofs and walls.
