Plan Early for Chinese New Year 2026 – Avoid Supply Chain Delays
Dear Valued Clients,
As we approach the Chinese New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse), it is essential to plan ahead to ensure your supply chain runs smoothly during this period. The holiday will significantly impact production and logistics across Asia, with widespread factory closures and shipping delays expected.
Key Timeline for 2026:
- Now – Mid-January:Finalize orders, confirm POs, and book shipping early.
- Late January:Production slows as workers begin returning home.
- February 15 :Official holiday begins; ports and customs experience reduced operations.
- February 5 – March 5:Peak closure period – most factories and logistics providers shut down or operate minimally.
- Early to Mid-March:Gradual reopening with limited workforce (approx. 35% capacity).
- Mid-to-Late March:Operations expected to return to normal.
Potential Impacts:
- Production:Factories will halt or significantly slow down operations.
- Shipping & Air Freight:Expect rate increases, congestion at ports, and potential container shortages.
- Courier Services:Longer delivery times and possible temporary service suspensions.

Recommended Action Plan:
1. Note Our Holiday Closure– Our facility will be closed from February 7 to February 26, 2026. All production and shipment scheduling before and after the holiday will be prioritized based on the order of payment receipt.
2. Key Deadline for Chinese New Year Shipments (Most Critical):
- Guaranteed Pre-Holiday Shipment:Orders with payment completed by January 20, 2026, will be guaranteed production and shipment before the holiday.
- Post-Holiday Schedule:Orders confirmed after February 1, 2026, will be produced and shipped, strictly in the order of payment receipt, after production resumes.
- Action:Finalize POs and payments by January 20 to lock in pre-holiday shipping.
3. Place Orders Early– For smooth production, we recommend finalizing orders by mid-January 2026. This allows sufficient time for material preparation and production before the holiday slowdown begins.
