Hollow glass microspheres have light weight, large volume, low thermal conductivity, high compressive strength, and good fluidity. They are used to be the product fillers and lightening agents in paint coatings, rubber, modified plastics, glass fiber reinforced plastics, artificial stone, putty and other industries; In oil and gas field mining industries, the performance of their high compression resistance and low density can produce high-strength low-density cement slurry and low-density drilling fluid.
Hollow glass microspheres are hollow glass spheres with tiny sizes, which are inorganic non-metallic materials. The typical particle size range is 28-120 microns, and the bulk density is 0.2-0.6 g/cm3. It has the advantages of light weight, low thermal conductivity, sound insulation, high dispersion, good electrical insulation and thermal stability. It is a new developed lightweight material with a wide range of uses and excellent performance.
1: The appearance color is pure white. It can be widely used in any products that have requirements for appearance and color.
2: Light specific gravity and large volume. The density of hollow glass microspheres is about one tenth of the density of traditional filler particles. After filling, it can greatly reduce the basis weight of the product, replace and save more production resins, and reduce product costs.
3: It has an organically modified (lipophilic) surface. Hollow glass microspheres are easy to wet and disperse, and can be filled in most thermosetting thermoplastic resins, such as polyester, pp, pvc, epoxy, polyurethane, etc.

Hollow glass microspheres are also offered with conductive coatings. Conductive coating with optimized thickness provides spherical particles with good conductivity and shielding properties while maintaining the weight-saving benefit associated with hollow-core low-density materials. These conductive microbubbles are suitable for use in military applications, biotechnology, medical devices, electronics, and other specialty industries.

Main uses of hollow glass microspheres:
1. Modification of nylon, PP, PBT, PC, POM, PVC, ABS, PS and other plastics can improve fluidity, eliminate glass fiber exposure, overcome warpage, improve flame retardant properties, reduce glass fiber consumption, and reduce production costs.
2. Filling rigid PVC, PP, PE, producing profiles, pipes and sheets, can make the products have good dimensional stability, improve rigidity and heat resistance temperature, improve product cost performance, improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
3. Filled in PVC, PE and other cables and insulating sheath materials, it can improve the product’s high temperature resistance, insulation, acid and alkali resistance and other properties and product processing performance, increase output and reduce costs.
